he's talking about being an affiliate in dreamhost where the company pays you $97 once you refer a paid customer to them. That customer should purchase hosting plan from them.

Yes I think it will work as I'm planning with the same idea before but I discovered that you can only get your commission when you have 2 referrals I think? So what I did was to look for other affiliate and ask for a rebate at least this way, I won't be thinking for another referral to get my commission, but register myself to a host for a discounted price coz of those rebates.

DreamHost started offering free WHOIS privacy which is a nice feature. I do think however, that you need a hosting plan to have full DNS control though.

Their interface is quite simple and easy to navigate. Their customer service is usually fast - usually a few hours during business hours to receive a response.

Their pricing is reasonable about 10$ when i bought domains frm them, but I don't think I'll be using them for domains other than the credits I receive from buying hosting from them.
